Kalas (Hind.) 23: Jagni: The Facts About Spiritual Awakening
Jagni: An Introduction

Lord Prannath has named the present period in which we live as the Period for the True Spiritual Awakening or Jagni.  This is the ONLY time, during which every human soul can seep the taste of the divine wisdom that leads the Way to Eternity, i.e., freedom from the cycle of birth and rebirth.  This is the time, during which the souls (Brahmn Srishti, Atmans) of Paramdham, who have descended in human forms, will realize their original blissful nature (Nijanand).  This is the time for which many great Rishies, seers, the three godheads, and many wise people have been waiting for since the Satyuga.  The sun of the spotless Divine Wisdom is now shining throughout the world.  The Gate to Eternity, which was locked even during the time of Lord Rama, Lord Krishna, Moses, Jesus Christ, David, Abraham and Prophet Muhammad, is now wide-open.

Dear souls!  Come and seep the taste of the Divine Wisdom with pure heart and experience the joy of Jagni.  Begin meditating upon the divine form (swaroop), lila (sports) and dham (abode) of the Supreme Brahmn, which the Vedas have described with the words 'Neti Neti' (not this, not this).  The time is running out.  Make the best use of this human life and this 28th Kaliyuga.

In Holy Kuljam Swaroop, Kalas Hindustani, Chapter #23, the Lord talks about the process of jagni.  Accomplishing Jagni is the true essence of Sri Nijanand Sampradaya.  The chapter of Jagni answers some of our basic questions through a conversational setting between the Supreme Brahmn Sri Rajji, our Lord, the lead-soul Indrawati (in the person of Mehraj Thakur) and the Brahmn Srishti souls (sundersaths).  Sri Rajji chose him to lead all souls, bestowed him all His divine powers and credited him with the title of Mahamati, the one with the spotless Divine Wisdom.

The text will flow in much the same order as it appears in the Holy Kuljam Swaroop.  The corresponding verses (chaupai #s) are indicated at the end of each paragraph for your reference.  Appropriate explanatory text has been added in this material, rather than just doing verse-to-verse literal translation of each verse.

We can never substitute this translation for the original words of the Lord.  While those with Gujarati and Hindi background may not find it as enjoyable as the original verses, we hope it will offer some basic understanding about our faith for the new English-reading generation.  Every sundersath should read and re-read these teachings faithfully, with love and soft and open heart.  At first, everything explained here might not make sense to you personally.  As you read, re-read and think over it, you will be able to grasp the essence of the Divine Wisdom.  Take some time to discuss your quarries with Sundersath, friends and family members who are familiar with it.  Also, as you read this and other chapters of the Wani, keep the Virat Pat Darshan chart in front of you for better understanding of your journey to the spiritual worlds.

Finally, to reap the fullest benefit, it is important that you regard yourself as a Brahmn Srishti Soul - the most beloved of the Lord Supreme.  Feel that our Lord Sri Raj Shyamaji is taking all this pain to awaken you in your Original State of Supreme Bliss - Nijanand.
